Today Audi released more details regarding the A5 and S5 Cabriolet.

The four seater soft top Audi A5 starts at $47,542.58 and are featured with a range of engine choices in gas and turbo diesel form.

The entry level engine start with a 1.8 liter TFSI that produces 160 horsepower followed by two different 2.0-liter TFSI engines that produce 180 horsepower @ 236.02 lb-ft of torque , and 211 horsepower @ 258.15 lb-ft of torque.

The 3.0-liter V6  engine produces 265 horsepower 243.4 lb-ft and is offered in a front-wheel-driven or a All-Wheel-Drive Quattro version. you can select between a standard transmission or 7-speed S Tronic gearbox option.

In Europe a diesel version will be available which consumes 42 miles per gallon.

Audi will offer 3 different size diesel engines  

• 2.0-litre TDI that produces 170 horsepower @ 258.15 lb-ft of torque
• 2.7-litre TDI that produces 190 horsepower @ 295.02 lb-ft of torque
• 3.0-litre TDI that produces 240 horsepower @ 368.78 lb-ft of torque
  

The Audi S5 Cabriolet is equipped with a 3.0-liter supercharged engine that produces 333 horsepower and 324.53 lb-ft torque. The supercharger is placed between the two cylinder heads.  The Audi S5 Cabriolet completes a 0 to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds.

There are 15 exterior colors to choose from with four colors canvass tops. The roof can be lowered in 15 seconds while a neck-heating function allows even for cold open top cruising. Some models will be offered with LED daytime running lights as standard. Interior features include Alcantara leather, Audi Drive Select suspension setting, a new generation MMI and a B&O sound system with a 40GB hard drive, all depending on specifications.
