2010 Cadillac SRX
This will be the third occasion that General motors revealed the details on the 2010 Cadillac SRX. Based on GM’s Theta Premium platform an advanced version taken from the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox and 2010 GMC Terrain. Saab will also be using the same version for the 2010 Saab 9-4X. The 2010 Cadillac SRX will offer two powertrains a 3.0-liter VVT E85 V6 with direct fuel injection, or a 2.8-liter Turbocharged V6. The 3.0 produces 260 horsepower at 6950 rpm and 221 pound-feet of torque at 5600 rpm, while the smaller turbocharged produces over 300 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 295 pound-feet of torque at 1850 rpm.
They both come equipped with a standard Hydra Matic 6T70 6-speed automatic. The 3-liter E85 model delivers 5 more horsepower than its predecessor, while offering a improved fuel economy of 10 to 15 percent, claims GM. The new 2010 Cadillac SRX will be equipped with a choice of either front-wheel-drive or AWD. Traction control is taken to the next step with all All-Wheel-Drive models with the rear eLSD. In Bad weather, the eLSD system transfers up to 100 percent of the torque to the wheel that has more traction. The eLSD allows the driver to have enhanced control on hard cornering or high-speed maneuvers, by briefly applying more or less torque to either of the wheels. This will help the vehicle stay in line with the front wheels.
Price We have no confirmation on price but its expected to be in line with the current models.
