2009 Honda Insight hybrid
The 2009 Honda Insight hybrid made its North American debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show late last year. The original Insight was introduced as America's first gas-electric hybrid car back in December 1999, and the first vehicle to break the 70-mpg fuel economy barrier. The new larger, 5-passenger, 5-door Insight shares the styling cues with the Honda FCX Clarity fuel cell vehicle and will come to market at a price significantly below hybrids available today. Numerous technologies, including a function to assist customers in achieving more fuel efficient driving habits, will be applied to achieve a further improvement in real world fuel efficiency.
