New Zeppelin, French design firm is bringing back the airship!
The timeless elegance for long distance Zeppelin’s has come again. A French design firm is bringing back the airship era.
Designer Jean Marie Massaud and the French aerospace design company ONERA have teamed up to create the "Manned Cloud” or “Le Manned Cloud”
The 700 foot long blimp or should we say Zeppelin is shaped like a blue whale that will swim through the sky effortlessly.
The “Le Manned Cloud” Zeppelin will offer two floors of amenities that offer everything from a gourmet restaurant, library, reception room, gym and full service spa on the first floor. The second floor will enclose 20 well-designed guest rooms allowing a total of 40 passengers and 15 crew members
Filled win non flammable helium the 700 foot long - 296 foot wide, - 170 foot high airship will be able to reach altitudes ranger from 18,044 to just single digit feet.
The “Le Manned Cloud” Zeppelin will have normal cruising speed of 80 MPH with access of hitting over 104 MPH, It is powered by clean burning high efficiency engines that push a huge tail propeller and two directional ones for vertical take off. It will have a range of 3,106 miles between refueling allowing you to travel around the world in 12 to 13 days with 8 refueling stops.
Marceau states that "Le Manned Cloud allows you to explore the world without a trace.
Passengers will be able to experience spectacular and exotic places, without having any impact on the world." The way it was meant to be..
It is not expected for service until 2020 and we have no idea what the price of a ticket will cost. If we compare the ticket price the Hindenburg to today’s dollar that $400 dollar ticket will now cost you around $5500 dollars .
I love the Idea, would love to travel that way!!!
