It's Illegal to Drive and Text Messaging     SACRAMENTO: Gov. Schwarzenegger approved a law making it illegal to send or text messages while driving a motor vehicle in the state of California.

This bill imposes a $20 fine for a first offense and $50 for repeat offenders. It is for anyone using any electronic devices to read or send messages while driving a motor vehicle.

We received some new information regarding the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SL300 Gullwing, It is expected to hit showrooms floors mid 2010 and will wear the AMG badge with limited production in and around 6000 cars per year worldwide. Car sales suffer; Nissan gains

Meanwhile, General Motors Corp. reported a 20.3 percent drop in sales from a year ago but a 31 percent improvement over its July totals, mainly thanks to offering all buyers employee pricing on many models.

As of today Ford is finding it harder to find eligible employees to except the buyout it has offered. Ford group vice president of global manufacturing and labor affairs Joe Hinrich blames the failing economy on making it harder for people to retire early. Ford states it had targeted almost 8,000 buyouts for this year, but have seen little to no response from the older employees, a dramatic decrease from the 34,000 employees that took the buyout in its first wave in 2006.

GM is recalling over 944,000 vehicles because of a problem with the heated windshield wiper fluid system that could lead to a fire. The recall includes 850,000 vehicles in the U.S. and nearly 100,000 vehicles in Canada, Mexico and the Middle East.
