iPhone - Apple Cuts Price
Big iPhone price cut gets mixed reviews
Posted by USA TODAY
Some of the first iPhone buyers are very unhappy after learning that Apple has just sliced $200 off the price of phones they paid $599 for barely two months ago.
Apple announced the price cut on the 8 GB version of its first cellphone this morning and said it is also eliminating the 4 GB model, which sells for $399.
"I feel like I have been ripped off by Apple,'' Laura Carter in San Antonio told us in an e-mail. "They should give all the early adopters a gift card of $200 to use in an Apple store."
To be sure, there are plenty of early adopters who knew that being the first on their block would carry a price. "I've already gotten my money's worth, and more, from my initial purchase; early adopters always pay the most,'' said David Miller in Yorktown Heights, N.Y.
