EARBORN, Mich. — The 2008 Lincoln Navigator gets a few tweaks for the new model year, including a $995 Monochrome Limited Edition Package that bundles body-color exterior accents, black carpet and floor mats, and ebony wood trim. The Navigator also gets a list of new standard items, including a power liftgate, heated and cooled seats, Sirius Satellite Radio, a THX II-Certified audio system and a PowerFold third-row seat.
The 2008 Lincoln Navigator 4x2 starts at $48,655, including a $900 destination charge. The price reflects a $1,905 increase over the 2007 Lincoln Navigator.
Lincoln said the new Navigator gets an optional rearview camera system that is activated when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. The video image of the rear is displayed in the rearview mirrors.
The Navigator was freshened for 2007. The 2008 model gets the carryover 300-horsepower 5.4-liter V8 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
